We are giving up coffee for Advent so that refugees and asylum seekers can share a cuppa.

Coffee is one of our favourite things and we are fairly dependent on it daily, but we want to show our commitment to helping others by choosing not to drink coffee during Advent (1-24 December). No coffee from a cafe and no coffee at home. The headaches will be a reminder of the pain and isolation that others have suffered as refugees and asylum seekers.

Please consider generously sponsoring us – the cost of giving up one coffee a day for Advent is about $200. Perhaps you can sponsor us 3 coffees each ($24) or 1 week’s worth of coffee ($56) or the whole lot!

Where does the money go?

Interserve seeks to provide practical support, hospitality and a place of connection for refugees and asylum seekers, both in Australia and in other parts of the world. We have some friends who serve with Interserve in West Asia serving refugees, including a community centre that provides a safe place to sit, relax, have a cuppa and talk with people who care.

Will you make a generous donation today to help support their incredible work?

Donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible.
